PENSACOLA, Fla.- The Spring Hill College softball team dropped both games of the doubleheader to West Florida in Wednesday's regular season finale at the UWF Softball Complex.
 
West Florida 5, Spring Hill 2
Haley Guffey (W: 20-7); Emma Curry (L: 8-6) 
 
Spring Hill (25-20, 18-4 SIAC) mounted a late rally in the sixth inning, but it wasn't enough to erase the lead held by West Florida (31-14, 20-10 GSC).
 
Offensively, 
Abigail Christ led the offense in a perfect 3-for-3 showing. 
Amanda Glowacki and 
Taylor Pittman brought the Badgers to within one with RBIs in the sixth inning.
 
Destiny Pierce, 
Jena Pacheco and 
Jesslyn Gordon also collected hits in the contest.
 
Emma Curry (8-6) pitched her eighth complete game of the season, allowing only two earned runs with no walks.
 
West Florida 4, Spring Hill 1
Hannah Harper (W: 11-5); Leighanna Turk (L: 6-8)
 
In the second game, 
Rycca Hinton hit her 13
th home run to score the lone run for the Badgers.
 
Christ added another hit, finishing 4-for-5 in the doubleheader. 
Natalee Curry and Pacheco each drew a walk in the game.
 
Leighanna Turk (6-8) started in the circle, recording two strikeouts in 3.2 innings. 
Lauren Glass made her 17
th appearance of the season, allowing just four hits in 2.1 innings of relief.
