COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Spring Hill College baseball team swept the SIAC series against Benedict on Saturday. The Badgers completed the series sweep with a dominating 23-2 win over the Tigers.

Nick Hunter led at the plate with a 2-for-3 outing that featured four runs, three RBIs and one walk.

AJ Swader opened scoring with a two-run single in the opening frame, followed by an RBI triple from
Jack Taylor.
Bryce Anderson capped off scoring in the first, sacrificing the left and making it a 4-0 game.

The Badgers (34-10, 27-2 SIAC) tacked on two more runs in the second. The Tigers (19-16, 15-14 SIAC) homered in the second to break up the scoring run and make it a 6-1 game.

Spring Hill went on a 12-0 scoring run in response, capped off by
Gavin Moran's three-run home run in the sixth. Benedict scored its final run of the game in the sixth.

SHC scored five more runs for insurance in the seventh and sealed the 23-2 run-rule victory. The Badgers completed their eighth conference series sweep of the season.

Miles Justin earned his fifth win of the season behind eight strikeouts while issuing a single walk and yielding a single run in 5.0 innings.
