Badgers Ranked No. 25 in NCBWA National Poll
WINGATE, N.C. – The Spring Hill College baseball team was ranked No. 25 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association top 25 poll Wednesday afternoon. The national ranking marks the first for the Badgers in the NCAA era.

After putting together a 15-game winning streak, Spring Hill earned its first-ever national ranking in the program's NCAA era.

"I think it shows that we have made some noise, especially in the non-conference," said head coach Walker Bullington. "We've taken care of business in the conference - it is nice to be in the top 25 and these guys feel like they're getting a bit of recognition. At the same time, you've got to go out and prove it."

The accolade adds to a list of firsts for the program, many of which have happened under Bullington in his first three seasons leading the Badgers. The list includes a preseason top-25 ranking, top-5 regional ranking and the first NCAA tournament win in department history.

"It's nice to get the first one," Bullington continued. "We've had a lot of firsts here in the last three years with preseason rankings. You know, being in the [preseason] top 25 there, the first in-season ranking this year, getting up there in the region rankings for the first time in the top 5, winning the first [NCAA] regional game in school history."

The Badgers prepare to hit the road this weekend when they head to Columbia, S.C. to take on Benedict in a three-game SIAC series. The series will start with a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. ET.
