THIBODAUX, La. – The Spring Hill College beach volleyball team split at the Beach Bayou Battle on Friday. The Sandy Badgers started with a 5-0 sweep of New Orleans before falling to McNeese State, 4-1.
 
SHC improved to 11-10 after sweeping the Privateers, who fell to 2-21. The Cowgirls jumped to 10-11, while Spring Hill moved to 11-11 on the season.
 
Jaylyne Bell and Brooke Borgmeyer lead the team with a 15-7 record on the year. The duo also leads SHC with a three-match win streak, which is matched by the pair of Elizabeth Hardouin and Ally Lane.
