MOBILE, Ala. - The Spring Hill College Softball team lost in Saturday's home opener against crosstown rival No. 20 Mobile, 3-1, at Murray Field.

Offensively, Spring Hill (1-7, 0-0 SIAC) combined for nine hits. Mobile (3-0, 0-0 SSAC) had a late burst in the top of the sixth to put three runs on the board.

With two outs in the bottom of the seventh,
Oscha Carter doubled to get the hit streak started. McKenize King followed up with a single that drove Carter in.

Leighanna Turk (0-2) started in the circle, pitching 5.0 innings with one strike out.
Emma Curry closed the game without giving up any runs across 2.0 innings.
