MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team picked up a 65-56 conference win over Fort Valley State at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Thursday.

After a tight first half, the Badgers (4-2, 2-1 SIAC) broke away with improved execution on both ends of the court. The efforts were led by balanced scoring and tenacious defense that held the Wildcats (0-6, 0-5 SIAC) to under 40 percent shooting.

How It Happened
Fort Valley Stated jumped out to an early 12-11 lead through one quarter, but Spring hill tightened up defensively and carried a 25-17 lead into halftime behind its efficient offense. Following the break, the Badgers continued to extend their lead. In the fourth, SHC maintained control and closed out the victory.
