FVSU Pulls Away in Second Half, Beats SHC 87-71

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's basketball team fell 87-71 to Fort Valley State on Thursday at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
 
The Badgers (0-6, 0-2 SIAC) kept things close in the first half, but the Wildcats (2-4, 1-4 SIAC) surged ahead in the second half. Fort Valley's play in the paint and aggressive bench scoring secured its conference win over Spring Hill.

Game Notes
- Amaan Sanni led the Badgers with 19 points behind 7-of-13 shooting from the floor and a perfect (4-4) night at the free throw line.
- Stephon MacDonald added 15 points along with a team-leading eight rebounds and two assists.
- Rocco Lamuno totaled 14 points, four steals, three rebounds, two assists and a perfect 5-of-5 outing at the charity stripe.
- Alvin Cole chipped in 12 points of his own.
