Spring Hill Advances to Seventh-Straight SIAC Title Match

MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team swept No. 2E-seeded Albany State 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-18) to advance to its seventh-straight SIAC championship match during the 2025 SIAC Women's Volleyball Championship presented by Toyota at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Friday.
 
The Badgers (25-5, 19-0 SIAC) will now play for their seventh-straight SIAC championship after sweeping the Golden Rams (16-14, 14-4 SIAC).
 
Spring Hill quickly jumped ahead to a double-digit lead and won the opening frame 25-15, holding Albany State to just .125 hitting. The Badgers continued their momentum into the second set, winning 25-12 and hitting at a .351 clip while not allowing any offense from the Golden Rams.
 
After falling behind early in the final set, SHC went on an 8-0 scoring run to take a 22-16 lead and held on to complete the sweep and move on to the championship match.

Match Notes
- Claire Hayes led the match with 17 kills, followed by Jaylyne Bell with 11.
- Monica Vargo dished out an impressive 41 assists.
- Freshman outside hitter Quinn Thurman led the contest with three service aces.
- Hayley Hillman led SHC with three total blocks.
- Ashlyn Whiteside paced the Badger defense with 11 digs.
