Hall of Fame Highlight – Charles Murray
MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics will induct baseball alumnus Charles Murray ('65) into the SHC Hall of Fame on October 16 Byrne Memorial Hall.

Murray was a four-year starter and one of the most consistent hitters in Spring Hill baseball history. A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Murray made an immediate impact as a freshman and went on to lead the Badgers in hitting during both his freshman and senior seasons.

In 1965, he capped his career with a .375 batting average and an impressive .680 slugging percentage, earning the Mattei Spring Hill College Athlete of the Year award. That same season, he helped lead the Badgers to their best record in more than 15 years, highlighted by taking three of four games from nationally ranked No. 3 Tulane.

Murray's clutch hitting was evident from the start—his timely double as a freshman helped secure an 11–4 win over Southern Miss. A pure hitter and steady leader, Charles Murray's impact on the Hill remains part of the program's proud tradition.

Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner ticket options include Individual ($75) and Reserved Table of Eight ($600) and can be purchased here.
