Fillmore’s Interim Tag Removed, Will Lead SHC Softball
MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College Athletic Director Joe Niland has removed the interim tag and named Hannah Fillmore ('21) as the SHC Softball Head Coach.

The Spring Hill alum joined the coaching staff in 2022 as an assistant coach after playing for the Badgers from 2017-22. Prior to her return, she served as an assistant to the Spanish Fort High School softball program.

Fillmore helped lead the Badgers to their second SIAC Championship and fourth undefeated run in SIAC play in program history last season. Overall, she helped develop 10 SIAC all-conference selections, seven All-Tournament Team members and five academic all-district honorees.

"Since Coach Fillmore stepped on campus here as a student-athlete she has excelled," said Niland. "Whether as a member of a championship softball team as a player or as a coach she has demonstrated what we expect from a Badger. Hannah is the right person to lead the Spring Hill College softball program into the future."

As a SHC softball player, she was a three-time member of the SIAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The Brewton, Ala., native started all 102 games of her softball career after moving over from the Badger women's basketball team in 2017. She hit .333 with 31 doubles, two triples, 11 home runs and 83 RBI. She fielded at a .916 pace (201-192-36) as a shortstop.
