PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to Wheeling, 3-1, and West Florida, 3-0, on the final day of the SpringHill Suites Invitational at the UWF Field House on Saturday.

Wheeling received votes in the AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll, while West Florida was ranked 20
th.

The Badgers came away with one set in the 3-1 loss to Wheeling (18-25, 18-25, 25-22, 11-25). In the third set, Spring Hill hit .176 and held wheeling to just .12. SHC also tallied seven blocks, five of which were from
Hayley Hillman, who led the match.
Emily Cook led the team with 36 assists and
Airyonna Weaver led with 15 digs and a pair of aces.

Spring Hill started strong and kept things close early against West Florida (30-32, 12-25, 18-25). In total, both teams recorded five blocks. Freshman outside hitter
Brooklyn Hall led the match with nine kills.
