MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's soccer team started its season with a 3-0 win against Faulkner behind goals from
Poppy Binding,
Ellie King and
Ashlyn Johnson at Library Field on Thursday.

Binding made a quick move into the box after receiving a throw in and found the back of the net to open scoring in the fifth minute of play. Sophomore midfielder King entered the match in the second half and scored not long after, extending the Badger lead to 2-0.
Madison Hitzman dished the ball to Johnson in the closing second, which led to her finding the back of the net late in the 89
th minute, sealing the 3-0 season opener win for SHC.

Spring Hill peppered the Eagles' goal, taking 19 shots compared to Faulkner's three.
Carlotta Stark played all 90 minutes between the posts and saved the only shot on goal.
