On the match
"Really proud of the boys. Obviously a really tough game to open the season, which is what we wanted, because we wanted to see where we're at. Played against a team that's really physical, really direct. Obviously, they play a different style to us and have been really successful in the past. They boys equipped themselves brilliantly at times, had a lot of the ball, moved them around, caused them real problems. Early in the first half, referee's given a decision for a penalty, which I think was a bit harsh, but we go in one down at halftime from a PK and arguably had the better of the first half. In the second half, we competed really well, we got a little bit deep at times and struggled to get out of that storm. I was really happy with how we came back into that game. Got hit with a sucker punch while we were chasing the equalizing goal. Ultimately a really positive way to start the season, there were a lot of positives that we can take and analyze moving in to the rest of the season. So, to go in and really compete and give a really difficult time to a team that's going to be competing for a national championship is really pleasing and I think what's more pleasing is the boys come off of the field disappointed that we didn't get anything from the game and I think that shows a real shift in mentality and that mentality will hopefully stand us in good stead for the rest of the season. We'll rest up, get together tomorrow, have a nice bonding day tomorrow and be ready to go against PBA on Saturday."
