They Said It
Head Coach Samantha Thomsit
On the match
"I don't want to be greedy, but I think every coach always wants three points. We had a few opportunities in front of the goal. We knew there wouldn't be many opportunities. Maybe set pieces and then a few counterattacks, and we did have a few of them. We were unlucky, but the biggest point is we kept a clean sheet against the number five team in the nation. We put an absolute shift defensively and I'm very proud of the team. We've definitely closed a big deficit from last year, where we got beat pretty badly by a top team. I think it's starting to change the program. I think it used to be guaranteed points when you came to Spring Hill, but not anymore."
