MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill Athletics announced that 10 Badgers will join the Hall of Fame on October 17, 2024 at its' annual induction ceremony inside the Byrne Memorial Library on campus.

The Spring Hill College Athletic Hall of Fame has enshrined the best in Badger athletics since 1972. There have been 157 student-athletes and coaches honored in the SHC Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame members include nationally renowned sports figures such as Nick Bollettieri, who founded IMG Academy, and Dr. Ferdie Pacheco, Muhammed Ali's fight doctor.

LaToya Baker (Women's Basketball, 1999-03) led the Badgers to a semifinal appearance in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament her senior year. She ended her career with 1,675 career points.

Thomas Bick (Men's Basketball, 1962-66) earned Small Catholic College Coaches All-American honors his junior year. The 6-9 basketball star averaged a double-double for most of his career against the likes of Tulane, Southern Miss and Troy. He concluded his career with 1,242 points.

Ernie Felago (Baseball, 1962-66) was an outstanding athlete on the diamond. He was a key member of Stan Galle's 1965 Badger squad that went 12-8 with a pair of wins over former SEC member Tulane and Nicholls State. He also served as freshman class president. Felago went on to serve in the army after graduating.

Tim Hilpert (Baseball, 1995-98), a four-time All-GCAC selection, was described by head coach Frank Sims as "one of the best pure hitters I had in my 30+ years at Spring Hill," and was a key member of the strong late 1990s teams. He held a .348 career batting average and recorded 255 career hits, the second most in program history.

Jason Kuehl (Baseball, 1996-00) was a four-time All-GCAC honoree that was described as "probably the best center fielder I ever had, and I had many," by Coach Frank Sims. His .355 career batting average is the third best in program history and his 159 career runs scored rank fourth in the SHC record books.

Peggy Martin (Coach, Volleyball) is the most-winningest head coach in all of NCAA Volleyball with an astounding 1,464 victories. Martin has built a 400-88 overall record and 214-9 conference record on The Hill. Under her direction, the Badgers have won a total of eight regular season conference titles, six tournament championships, two conference division titles and have made nine national tournament appearances. She was inducted into the Mobile Sports, Missouri Sports and AVCA Hall of Fame.

James Murray (Baseball; Men's Basketball, 1963-67) is a New Jersey native who was a dual-sport star athlete in baseball and basketball. He was known for his leadership and ability on the court and diamond. He was a slick infielder for Stan Galle's Badgers. He stands as one of the youngest team captains ever and helped the 1965 baseball team to a its 12-8 winning record with highlight wins against former SEC member Tulane and Nicholls State.

Meg Ekins Smith (Women's Basketball; Golf; Tennis, 1992-96) hails from Indiana and was a rare three-sport athlete. She helped the basketball team to winning records and the golf team to a No. 4 national ranking as a freshman. As a junior, she joined the tennis team while still competing in both basketball and golf. She earned a NAIA Women's Basketball All-American Scholar Athlete Award her senior season and was elected class orator.

Cookie Strong (Women's Golf, 1992-96) started her time on The Hill strong by helping the Badgers to a No. 4 national ranking as a freshman. The following season, Strong continued to lead Spring Hill to new heights, a No. 3 national ranking. She was invited to the NAIA Golf Invitational that same year and went on to become one of the first NAIA All-Americans in program history.

Darin Tang (Men's Basketball, 1984-88) led the Badgers to a District 30 Championship Final appearances in his freshman season. As a junior he led SHC to the most single-season wins in program history. Tang was a three-time all-conference selection and team captain. He also broke the program career games played and consecutive games played records. He sits at fourth in all-time scoring with 1,901 points.
