MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's tennis team took down Christian Brothers, 4-3, at Medal of Honor (Cottage Hill) Park on Saturday.
The Badgers opened up doubles play with a 6-1 win by Paul-Phillip Kern and Tom Gutermann, moving them to 12-6 on the year in doubles play. Charles Wallace and Hugo Blasco Granell clinched the doubles win with a 6-3 win, followed by a 7-6 win by Philip Bosman and Matthew Pirie to sweep the doubles.
In singles, Gutermann brought home a hard fought 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-2) win to kick off singles play. Noah Eberhard secured his set with a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8) victory. Kern (6-7, 7-3, 1-0 (10-5)) clinched the match point for Spring Hill on the No. 3 court.
