MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team (3-4, 2-0 SIAC) defeated Albany State (1-4, 0-2 SIAC), 67-54, to start conference play 2-0 at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Monday.

The Badgers shot 37 percent from the floor, 35 percent from beyond the arc and 85 percent at the free throw line. The Golden Rams struggled with the Spring Hill defense on the perimeter, shooting just 10 percent from 3-point range.

Kellyn Hunter led the game in scoring with 16 points and totaled three rebounds alongside
Claudia Garrido.
Tiana Smith also recorded double-digit figures in scoring with 14 points and 10 free throws made. She and
Marta Duda both led the contest with seven rebounds apiece.
