SHC Falls to Allen on the Road

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Spring Hill College men's basketball team (4-4, 2-1 SIAC) suffered its first conference loss of the season against Allen (3-4, 1-2 SIAC), 79-75, at Adams Gymnasium on Saturday.
 
The Badgers shot 28 percent from beyond the arc, 77 percent from the free throw line and 39 percent from the floor. The Yellow Jackets shot 50 percent overall and 65 percent at the charity stripe.
 
Walter Peggs Jr. led scoring with 26 points, 10 field goals made and a 4-4 outing at the free throw line. Peggs Jr., Steven Lyles, Rocco Lamuno and Jorclay Kaniki all led SHC with five rebounds piece. Lyles also recorded double-digits in scoring with 18 points.

"Have to give real credit to Coach Walker and his team. They came out and played super hard, particularly with their post play. We were rusty coming out after being off for exams and didn't get into a good flow. We have to turn around now and focus our attention on our next opponent."
