Binding Earns First USC All-Region Honor in Program History
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Spring Hill College women's soccer forward Poppy Binding became the first player in program history to be named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-South Region Team.
 
Binding earned the first-ever USC All-Region honor in team history, being named to the All-South Region Second Team.
 
The award marked the second all-region honor for Binding this year. She earned her second-consecutive all-region recognition by the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association after leading the Gulf South Conference in goals, points and shots.
 
The forward out of Romford, Essex, England also became the first player in school history to be named to the All-GSC First Team this season.
 
She continued her climb of the SHC record books, now sitting at third in career goals and fourth in points. The redshirt senior is the program D-II era record holder for career points, goals, game-winning goals and PKs. She is currently second in the SHC D-II career record books for shots and shots on goal.
