PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 8-seeded Spring Hill College women's soccer team (7-8-3, 4-5-3 GSC) fell 2-1 to No. 1 West Florida (12-1-3, 9-0-2 GSC) in the GSC Championship quarterfinal at the UWF Soccer Complex on Sunday.

Poppy Binding opened scoring less than a minute into the match with a free kick goal from outside the penalty box. West Florida responded with a pair of goals in the 24
th and 37
th minutes to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.

West Florida totaled 18 shots and 13 on goal to Spring Hill's five, four of which were on target.
Carlotta Stark made six saves while playing a majority of the match between the posts.

The Badgers finished their historic season with the best record and first GSC Championship appearance in the Division-II era.
