MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team fell 3-2 to Xavier (La.) at Library Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Thomas Wynn-Davis connected with
Quinn Carper in the box at the 10-minute mark to put the Badgers on the board first. The Gold Rush answered with three straight first-half goals and took a 3-1 lead into the halftime break. Carper struck again in the 70
th minute, this time with help from
Rutger Hesselink. Spring Hill's attempt at a late comeback fell just short as Xavier (La.) escaped with a 3-2 road win. SHC fell to 1-2-0 on the year in the loss while XULA improved to 1-1-0.
