CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Spring Hill College women's soccer team defeated Delta State 2-1 and picked up its fourth-straight win in its Gulf South Conference (GSC) opener at Delta Field on Friday.

Spring Hill took three shots to Delta State's two, including two on goal. The Badgers were awarded six corners while holding the Statesman to three.

DSU struck first with an early goal in the 18
th minute and took the 1-0 lead into the halftime break. The Badger offense came alive in the second half when
Jessica Droghini assisted
Annie Kratz with a goal in the 73
rd minute to tie the match at 1-1.
Marta Mayoral Montero found the back of the net in the 81
st minute to solidify the 2-1 victory.
