ALBANY, Ga. – The Spring Hill College baseball team was named the No. 3 seed in the 2023 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Baseball Championship Tournament, the league announced.
The Badgers, who are the defending conference champions, received the 3-seed after finishing the season with a 25-7 record in conference play and 28-21 overall. Spring Hill will open its run in the tournament against No. 6 Edward Waters (23-20, 16-13 SIAC) on Thursday at 9 a.m. (EST) at the ASU West Campus.
Last season, the Badgers, who were the 2-seed, captured their second SIAC title after defeating host (#3) Albany State 8-7. In 2019, SHC won its first SIAC championship in program history with a 17-5 upset victory over the No. 1-seeded Albany State.
The tournament is scheduled for May 4-7, with the championship game set to take place on May 7 at ASU. Admission is free for all spectators and more information can be found on the
