PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Spring Hill College softball team finished its regular season by splitting results in a mid-week non-conference doubleheader versus West Florida at the UWF Softball Complex on Wednesday.

Paityn Desormeaux led Spring Hill (21-21, 17-2Â SIAC) while going 6-for-3 at the plate across both games. West Florida stayed at .500 with a 20-20 record after the day.
The Argonauts shut the Badgers out 7-0 in game one, scoring two runs early in the first inning and finishing with five in the sixth.
In game two, the Badgers got on the board first when
Bailey Cox hit a RBI single to center field. Spring Hill scored two more unanswered runs in the fourth inning before West Florida answered in the sixth with two runs to make it a 3-2 game late. SHC plated one more run in the seventh and held off a comeback by UWF to end the regular season with a 4-3 win.Â
