MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team defeated Auburn University Montgomery (AUM), 13-2, at Q.V. Lowe Field on Tuesday.
Spring Hill (27-18, 24-4 SIAC) was led by
Norris McClure, who went 4-for-3 on the evening while plating one run. SHC improved its win streak to four games in the 13-2 win. Auburn Montgomery fell to 18-29 in its home closer.
The Badgers took the lead early and never looked back after going up 6-0 in the first inning. Spring Hill scored three runs in the third and one in the fourth before AUM answered with two runs to make it 10-2. SHC scored one run in the fifth, sixth and seventh innnigs and did not allow any more from the Warhawks to solidify the 13-2 run-rule victory in seven innings.
Alex Holz (1-2) took the win on the bump for Spring Hill while Cole Kehoe (0-2) suffered the loss on the mound for Auburn Montgomery.
