MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team completed a three-game Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) sweep of Lane with a 17-5 victory at Sims-Galle Field on Sunday.
The Badgers started things off with eight runs in the first inning, highlighted by a base-clearing RBI triple from
Bryce Anderson. Spring Hill only allowed a three-run answer by the Dragons in the second inning before piling on five more runs of their own to extend the lead to 13-3. SHC cruised to a 17-5 run-rule win in seven innings.Â
The Badgers were led by Anderson, who had seven RBIs, three hits and two runs in four at bats. Nick Coello led the Dragons with three RBIs, two hits and one run in four at bats.
Evan Langston took the win on the mound for Spring Hill with three strikeouts and only two earned runs in six innings pitched. Javier Gallo suffered the loss on the bump for Lane.
