MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team suffered a 14-3 loss to West Alabama in a mid-week non-conference game on Tuesday at Sims-Galle Field.
Norris McClure led Spring Hill (24-17, 16-1 SIAC) with two hits and two runs in three at bats. West Alabama (18-22, 12-12 GSC) bounced back in the win after two straight losses at home his past weekend.
The Tigers peeled ahead in the third inning, scoring the first eight runs of the game and tacked on three more in the fourth. The Badgers answered with one run on a sacrifice fly from
Seth Williams in the bottom of the fourth. The teams went back-and-forth in the sixth, with UWA plating one run and SHC scoring two runs on a RBI triple from
Gage Ragona, who also crossed home on a groundout from Williams. West Alabama sealed the 14-3 win over Spring Hill with two more runs in the seventh.
Michael Racobaldo took the loss on the mound, while Javian Stone earned the win.Â
