MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team suffered a mid-week doubleheader loss to West Florida at Murray Field on Wednesday.
Both teams recorded 12 hits in the first game and went back-and-forth on the scoreboard. The game was tied 1-1 by the end of the first inning and the Badgers took a 4-3 lead over the Falcons in the third. Montevallo answered with five runs of their own in the fourth before Spring Hill tried to muster a comeback in the seventh with runners in scoring position. UM sealed the 8-5 win in the first game on a routine ground out to the shortstop. The Falcons kept their momentum going and dominated with a 14-1 win in game two over the Badgers.
