JASPER, Ala. – The Spring Hill College softball team started Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play 3-0 after defeating Edward Waters, Clark Atlanta and Fort Valley State at Memorial Park on Saturday.

The Badgers are 3-0 to start SIAC play for the eighth consecutive season since joining the conference in 2015. Spring Hill started with a 7-1 victory over Edward Waters led by
Bailey Cox, who went 3-2 on the day with four RBIs. Next, SHC faced Clark Atlanta and pulled away with a 4-1 win led by Cox again with two hits and a RBI in three at bats. Finally, the Badgers shutout the Wildcats of Fort Valley State, 4-0, behind
Sophia Nuzzolillo (4-1) and two RBIs from Cox.
