GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Spring Hill College softball team suffered defeat against North Georgia (11-0) and West Georgia (1-0) at the Gulf Shores Invitational on Saturday.

The Badgers fell behind early in their first game against North Georgia. An RBI single by Mallory Parker allowed the Nighthawks to score and get things started in the first inning. From there, UNG scored seven more runs across the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to ensure its 11-0 victory over SHC.

In their second game of the day, the Badgers resurged on the mound and only allowed one run from Gulf South Conference (GSC) foe West Georgia.
Paityn Desormeaux allowed eight hits and one run in six innings for Spring Hill.
Airyonna Weaver led SHC with one hit in three plate appearances. The Wolves were led by Jacelyn Lahr, who scored the only run of the game and saw a hit in three at bats.
