MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College baseball team fell 11-8 to West Florida in a non-conference mid-week game at Sims Galle Field on Tuesday night.
UWF took an early 9-0 lead by the second inning before Spring Hill answered with four runs of their own in the bottom of the inning to make it a 9-4 ballgame. The Badgers stacked two more unanswered runs off the bats of
Gage Ragona and
Ethan Valdez by the seventh inning to cut the Argonaut lead to three runs (9-6). West Florida responded with two more runs in the eighth and Spring Hill did the same, but its comeback would stop there, with UWF taking the win 11-8.
Alex Holz took the loss on the mound for Spring Hill, while Jack Bellah got the win and Chase Wilkerson earned the save.
