SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team fell 72-63 in the opening round of the TIAA Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Basketball Tournament presented by Cricket to Edward Waters at Tiger Arena on Sunday.
The Badgers started strong and took a 40-39 lead into the halftime break after shooting 66 percent (8-12) from the floor and 60 percent (3-5) from beyond the arc in the second quarter. The Tigers of Edward Waters made a comeback in the second half to defeat Spring Hill 72-63.
Tyashia Bostick crossed the 1,000-career point mark during the game, she now sits at 1,002 total.
Lindi DeBilzan led SHC in scoring with 15 points on the day while
Ariel Thompson recorded a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Khadija Smith led the game for EWU with 21 points.
