They Said It – Head Coach Craig Kennedy
On the game
"It was a disappointing end to our wounded season. Give Edward Waters credit because they came out on fire in the second half. We clawed our way back into it, but you could see Tana [Kopa] and Isaiah [Veal} limping out there and trying to push through. If we had been healthy, I think our record would have been reversed. The multitude of injuries really hampered this young of primarily freshman and sophomores. We know what we are building here and if we can avoid the intangibles of injuries, we will be a team to reckon with next year. Obviously losing sophomore
Steven Lyles in our last game really hurt us, as he was our best defensive player and a scoring rebounder."
Â
On the team's awards this season
"Congratulations to Eli [Lenihan] and Georgios [Kostikas] for being named CSC Academic All-District, and for Tana being named Second-Team All-Conference and Beril [Kabamba] being named to the first team. This team represents the college with class and competitiveness and we are really proud of them."
