MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Spring Hill College cross country runner Evelyn Hererra competed in the women's 6k at the NCAA South Regional on Saturday.
 
Hererra, a freshman, made her NCAA postseason debut in the women's 6k race. She established a personal-best time of 24:09.3 in the event while leading all Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference runners at the meet. Her time is the sixth-best 6k time in program history since 2005.
