CLINTON, Miss. – The Spring Hill College women's cross country team placed fourth, while the men took fifth at the Mississippi College Watson Cross Country Classic on Saturday.
 
The Badgers' men's squad ran their 8k race at 8:45 a.m., and were led by Will Tate, who placed 33^rd overall with a season-best time of 27:05.8. Sophomore Myles Cook took 51^st and stopped the clock at 28:34.6. Thomas Monier (29:05.7) and Harrison Weisinger (29:23.4) finished 60^th and 63^rd, respectively. Monier broke his personal record with his time at the race. Zachary Thomas clocked a new personal best (31:14) and placed 79^th. Mohammed Shahrouj placed 92^nd with a time of 32:27.
 
Following the men's race, the women's squad ran a 6k and placed fourth out of 10 teams. They were led by Madeline Knightly, who placed 23^rd overall with a time of 25:07.6. Claire Morgan was close behind in 31^st, clocking a 25:43.4 personal-best time. Cat Dulle finished 37^th and stopped the clock at 26:29.1. Jordan Jernigan (28:49.6) and Cassidy Dilks (32:09.9) crossed the line 49^th and 59^th, respectively. Jernigan's time broke her personal record.

We're making progress, again we had a number of personal bests as we're putting more complete races together. Our team finishes were good considering the work we yet have to do.  Our conference meet is five weeks away. It's time to ramp up being prepared."
