THEY SAID IT – Head Coach Craig McVey
"Today was a 'get started racing' day. In no way were we a finished product and we won't be for some time. We're training really hard right now and it showed and that's ok, we were tired and I expected that. We're relatively young, so that hard work we're doing right now is huge and it affects a younger runner more. We're putting the pieces of each team together right now and it will all pay off down the line.
Will Tate had a great day for our men, he was really aggressive and ran a really smart race.Â
Madeline Knightly and Cat[herine]Â Dulle had a really good first race for our women, there's a lot more in the tank and they're getting ready to use it."
Â
Note of the meet
- Four Badgers (Cook, Monier, Thomas and Shahrouj) clocked personal records in the 5k.
