JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team fell in its first loss of the season, 5-3, at Carson-Newman on Sunday.
It took Spring Hill less than 10 minutes to take a 2-0 lead to start the match.
Darri Gardarsson connected with
Johannes Hanken Tjostheim at 7:06 to put the Badgers up 1-0.
Manuel Mihalits was assisted by
Markus Boe Tunge and found the upper left corner of the net at 9:55 to give SHC a 2-0 lead. Carson-Newman scored four times before halftime and took a 4-2 lead into the break.
Tjostheim opened scoring for the Badgers in the second half after being assisted by
Joao Amaral at 49:15. The Eagles scored the last goal of the match, giving Spring Hill its first loss of the season, 5-3.
