Morgan picks up second All America honor of 2022
PEMBROKE, N.C. (June 2, 2022) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has named Spring Hill College (SHC) 1st baseman Micah Morgan to its 2022 NCAA Division II All America 1st team.

Morgan, a sophomore from Fairhope, Ala., hit .446 this year with 24 doubles, 16 home runs and an SHC single-season record of 77 RBI. He managed a .819 slugging percentage with 47 walks while completing 7-of-8 stolen base attempts. In the field, Morgan recorded 324 putouts and 19 assists with two errors while participating in 37 double plays.

On the mound, Morgan built a 3-1 record with a 6.49 ERA and 36 strikeouts over 26.1 innings pitched.

The 6-foot, 1-inch left-hander, was a 1st team Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) All-Conference selection and the MVP of the 2022 SIAC Championship Tournament as well as a member of the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America 1st team.

Previously this year, Morgan was named the 2021-2022 SHC Male Student Athlete of the Year and a 2nd team member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-South team.

In the 2022 season, the Badgers (38-15) won the SIAC Baseball Championship Tournament, advancing to the NCAA South Region Tournament for the second time in four seasons.
