ATLANTA, Ga. – Spring Hill College's Beril Kabamba was named to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Men's Basketball Preseason First Team, the league announced Thursday.
 
Kabamba earned a spot on the All-SIAC Second Team last season. The redshirt sophomore forward averaged 14.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and surpassed the 500 career points milestone last year. Over the summer, he represented Spring Hill at the National Basketball Players' Association (NBPA) Top 50 Camp. The Clearwater, Fla., native was recognized as the Spring Hill Male Freshman of the Year last year.
 
The Badgers were voted seventh in the west division preseason conference rankings. Preseason honors and rankings are voted on by the SIAC's head coaches and sports information directors.
