SHC announces Anderson as Assistant Track and Field Coach

MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College track and field announced the addition of De'Mon Anderson as assistant coach on Tuesday.

Anderson comes to Spring Hill from the Universtiy of West Alabama, where he coached student-athletes to multiple All-Conference and All-Region Honors, including Gulf South Conference (GSC) championships in both sprints and jumps with one long jumper earning All-America honors. 19 student-athletes earned GSC All-Academic Honors under his direction.

He graduated from West Alabama with a Bachelor's degree in sports management and is currently pursuing a master's degree.

"We are pleased to welcome Coach Anderson to our coaching staff. His direct experience as both an Academic Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator in an NCAA Division II program is the perfect fit for our program.  His dedication to each student-athlete, technical knowledge, and ability to develop All Conference, All Region, and All-America level student-athletes will help us on our NCAA Division II journey," Head Coach Craig McVey said. "Under his academic supervision, I expect our student-athletes will continue to achieve National and Conference All-Academic honors on a regular basis. De'Mon's proven success in recruiting and in serving as our recruiting coordinator, will help us maintain our ability to win conference championships in cross country while looking to a bigger regional/national picture and also in setting our sights for track and field to have the same standard of success."
