COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Spring Hill Track and Field teams started its postseason at the 2025 Cricket SIAC Track and Field Championship at Sehila and Morris Cregger Track.
Team Finishes
Men – 11 out of 13 teams
Women – 7 out of 14 teams.
The Badgers broke two school records, tallied 12 personal bests and 33 marks in the top-10 list during the postseason event.
On the women's side,
JaTerralyn Hamilton, who earned first-team all-conference honors, stopped the clock at 11.91 and placed fifth in the field of 32 in the women's 100 dash.
Allison Mangan captured a second-place finish in the Women's pole vault in her first ever postseason appearance. Overcoming the height of 2.45m in the event.
"This was the first season she has pole vaulted ever," said head coach
Craig McVey. "To grab second in a conference meet being so new to the event is unheard of!"
Mangan was followed by all-conference honorees
Abigail Remick (2.30m) in fourth and
Ariana Sprinkle (2.00m) in 10
th.
Cecilia Light also secured a second-place finish in the Women's 800m with a personal best time of 2:21.22.
Tiana Smith broke the women's high jump program record, which had previously stood for 11 years. She cleared the bar at 1.60m and placed second.
"Tiana had a great high jump day, she had no misses going into 5'5"," said McVey. "She jumped with a sense of urgency; she was just great!"
The men's 4x100 relay team

Grant Nastasi,
Blake Mitchell and
Devin Singletary broke their previous record of 41.80, running a blazing 41.28 at the conference meet.
"Our 4x100 relay ran really well, this is a time many NCAA Division I teams would love to run," McVey said.

"We had three really good days at our conference outdoor championships. Everyone competed really hard. From our meet summary, it's easy to see how hard everyone worked, but in some cases, we tried too hard and hurt our point production in some events."
