HOOVER, Ala. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team swept Christian Brothers University in its first match of the South Region Crossover at the Finley Center on Friday.

Spring Hill defeated Christian Brothers (25-20, 25-14, 25-17), a Gulf South Conference (GSC) member, 3-0 to open its run at the event. The turning point in set No. 1 came when SHC went on a 7-0 scoring run, highlighted by two kills from
Brooke Borgmeyer, who led the match with 13 total kills. The Badgers went on to take the first set 25-20. The Badgers led the Buccaneers 17-13 in the second set, when
Lily Mascari led SHC to another 7-0 scoring run, setting her team up to win the second set 25-14. Borgmeyer tallied five more kills in the final set to help the Badgers along a 10-point run, giving the team a 16-6 lead. Spring Hill won the final set 25-17, securing a three-set sweep on Christian Brothers.
