MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's soccer team split results this weekend in two Gulf South Conference (GSC) matches this weekend.

The Badgers kicked off the weekend with a 3-1 victory against Shorter (Ga.) at Ben Brady Field. The win is the first for the team in conference play this year and the first for Head Coach
Samantha Thomsit since taking over the program. The Hawks took a 1-0 lead into halftime, but it would not take long for freshman
Ashley Drennon to answer in the 58
th minute, tying the match at 1-1.
Ciara Bridges netted a goal in the 73
rd minute and gave the Badgers a 2-1 lead. Freshman
Annie Kratz found the back of the net in the 85
th minute to solidify the 3-1 win for SHC.

On Sunday, the Badgers traveled to the Ray Conn Sports Complex in Cleveland, Tenn., to face the No. 11 Lee (Tenn.) Flames. By the 90
th minute, Lee netted seven goals, giving the Badgers a 0-7 loss.
