Max prepped at St. John Vianney College Prep in St. Louis, Missouri. He is currently working on a Master's degree in Business Administration after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Spring Hill College in 2020. 

Max played three seasons on the Badger sub-varsity team before earning a spot on the varsity roster as a senior in the 2019-20 season. During his senior season, he earned a batting average of .250 and tacked on an additional hit and 2 runs in the 2020-21 season. 

He was named a member of the 2020 SIAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team, and currently holds one athletic letter after one completed varsity season.
