Joe prepped at Fort Walton Beach High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He transferred to Spring Hill College for the 2017-18 school year and graduated with his undergraduate degree in the class of 2020. He is currently pursuing his master's degree at Spring Hill college. 

Joe began his collegiate baseball career at Northwest Florida State where he earned a fielding percentage of .977 with 82 putouts and 4 assists in 88 total chances in the outfield. In three seasons playing for Spring Hill, Joe has earned a batting average of .316 over 100 hits including 24 doubles, 3 triples, and 5 home runs. He also maintained a .987 fielding percentage over 220 putouts, 6 assists, and only 3 errors. 

Joe currently holds two athletic letters after two completed seasons.
