TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team swept a doubleheader away from the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers on Friday afternoon at Washington Field, winning the opener 5-1 before taking the nightcap in a 7-2 decision.
Freshman starter
Geo Camfield (2-3) was the winner of Game 1 with 5.0 innings pitched while sophomore
Colin Millar closed out the final two innings. The Golden Tigers' only run of the game was an unearned affair in the 1
st inning.
SHC enjoyed a 3-run 4
th inning where the Badgers went back-to-back-to-back with homers by 1
st baseman
Walker Imwalle, right fielder
Grayson Williams, and left fielder
Micah Morgan.
In the second game, senior
Taylor Gibson started, going three innings with two runs scored as junior
Michael Cabeza (1-0) went the last four innings to earn his first win of the year. Freshman infielder
Norris McClure belted a 2-run homer and Imwalle had a 2-run triple. Center fielder
Joseph Guidry also added two hits to the Badger scorebook.
The Badgers (9-10) will return to Washington Field on Saturday to close out this series with a noon doubleheader versus the Golden Tigers (4-8).
