Badger Baseball sweeps DH at Tuskegee

TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) baseball team swept a doubleheader away from the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers on Friday afternoon at Washington Field, winning the opener 5-1 before taking the nightcap in a 7-2 decision.

Freshman starter Geo Camfield (2-3) was the winner of Game 1 with 5.0 innings pitched while sophomore Colin Millar closed out the final two innings. The Golden Tigers' only run of the game was an unearned affair in the 1st inning.

SHC enjoyed a 3-run 4th inning where the Badgers went back-to-back-to-back with homers by 1st baseman Walker Imwalle, right fielder Grayson Williams, and left fielder Micah Morgan.

In the second game, senior Taylor Gibson started, going three innings with two runs scored as junior Michael Cabeza (1-0) went the last four innings to earn his first win of the year. Freshman infielder Norris McClure belted a 2-run homer and Imwalle had a 2-run triple. Center fielder Joseph Guidry also added two hits to the Badger scorebook.

The Badgers (9-10) will return to Washington Field on Saturday to close out this series with a noon doubleheader versus the Golden Tigers (4-8).
