TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team suffered a 78-73 loss to the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers on Sunday afternoon at the Chappie Center.
A 12-2 run by the Golden Tigers (5-6) midway through the 2
nd half put the Badgers in a 10-point hole from which they were unable to extricate themselves.
Sophomore forward
David Daniels paced SHC with 28 points and 13 rebounds while freshman guard
Sam Davidson added 14 points. The Badgers shot 51.7% (30-58) from the field, including 28% (7-25) from 3-point range while making just 46.2% (6-13) of their free throws.
For Miles, Mike Evans scored 20 points and Steve Dulley contributed 14 points. The Tigers shot an even 50% (26-52) overall, including 52.9% (9-17) from 3-point distance. Tuskegee was 70.8% (17-24) on their free throw attempts
SHC edged out a 31-30 advantage in rebounding, but lost 13 turnovers.
The Badgers (2-6) will wrap up their 2021 home schedule on Friday at 6:30 p.m. versus the Albany State University (ASU) Golden Rams (2-6) at 2 p.m. in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
