MOBILE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team took away two home victories over rivals the University of Mobile Lady Rams on Saturday afternoon by the scores of 5-4 in 9 innings in Game 1 and 4-0 in the nightcap.
The Lady Rams (1-4) and the Badgers both scored single runs in the 8
th inning, but Mobile put two runs on the board in the top of the 9
th frame. SHC came out on top, however, when shortstop
Hannah Fillmore delivered a walk-off 3-run triple with one out in the bottom of the inning.
Hannah Brenton (1-1) went the distance for the Badgers, allowing seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Jenna James took the loss in relief of Brinkley Goff who went 8 innings with nine hits and 3 walks with 3 strikeouts.
Game 2 saw SHC freshman
Olivia Indorf (1-0) pick up her first collegiate shutout, allowing just one hit with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. Emily Butts took the loss in 6 innings with five hits, a walk and 6 strikeouts. Badger center fielder

Delaney Thomas both had two hits in the second game.
The Badgers (2-2) next host the Xavier University (La.) Golden Knights (2-1) in a non-conference doubleheader at Murray Field beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
