TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team accepted an 86-64 loss to the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers on Saturday afternoon at the Daniel "Chappie" James Center
 
The Tigers (8-0) held a 43-35 advantage at halftime, but used a 26-11 run in the 4
th quarter to run away with the final victory.
 
Sophomore forward 
Tyashia Bostick led SHC with 17 points senior forward 
Katie Krout scored 10 points with 5 rebounds.
 
As a team, the Badgers shot 42.6% (26-61) from the floor and made 41.2% (7-17) of their 3-point attempts, but hurt themselves with 21 turnovers against 11 steals by the Tigers. The Badgers knocked down just 50% (5-10) of their free throw opportunities and were crushed on the boards by a 49-26 margin in rebounding.
 
Tuskegee was paced by Ashiala Jackson with game-highs of 29 points and 13 rebounds while India Blakely added 14 points. The Tigers shot 47.1% (32-68) from the field and 30% (3-10) from 3-point range. The Tigers also shot 82.6% (19-23) from the free throw line and lost 23 turnovers to 9 steals by the Badgers.
 
The Badgers (0-3) will play the Golden Tigers again on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Daniel "Chappie" James Center.
