MOBILE, Ala. (October 7, 2021) – The Spring Hill College (SHC) volleyball team swept to a dominating 3-0 (25-4; 25-4; 25-6) Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West Division victory over the Miles College Golden Bears on Thursday night at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
SHC held the Golden Bears (1-17; 1-9 SIAC) to a -.161 (2-11-56) attack percentage with two assists and 16 digs along with no aces nor blocks.
Spring Hill built a .466 (41-7-73) attack percentage with 37 assists, 40 digs, four blocks (0-8), and 13 aces.
Leaders for the Badgers included
Brooke Borgmeyer with 10 kills,
Kassandra Fairly with eight kills,
Jessica Fairly with 22 assists and three aces, and
Kristen Mitternight with eight digs and an ace.
The Badgers (17-5; 11-0 SIAC) will host the 2021 SIAC West Division Cluster II at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Friday and Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon versus the Lane College Dragons (2-7; 6-3 SIAC) followed at 6 p.m. by the Kentucky State University (KSU) Thorobreds (12-9; 9-1 SIAC).
